Course issues

Students who want to know how they are doing in class or have concerns with an instructor.

  • Step 1: Talk to the instructor
  • Step 2: If unable to resolve the issue, contact the DUGS (Director of Undergraduate Studies in the department of the course) or the undergrad ombuds. They can assist students in understanding the Course-related policies in undergraduate classes such as:
    • Absences and make-up work
    • Final Grades (Arbitrary and Capricious Grading)
    • Students’ rights (Grievance policy)

It is important that students reach out to the college advising staff. These topics are routine aspects of academic advising.
